Abstract
Religious congregations must make decisions affecting their apostolic works, including health care facilities. Congregations must choose particular works and must take further choices about carrying out the works selected. From the myriad of decision making processes, only decisions made through communal spiritual discernment, as defined in the article, can lead to positive results for health care facilities, as well as other apostolic works.
