Abstract
Ethics is defined as moving values into actions. In an ethically plural community, people have different value priorities: When faced with an ethical dilemma, people will prioritize the core values and commitments differently, resulting in disparate behaviors. Four primary ethical lenses provide a frame for exploring the various value commitments. This article explores the organizing questions, criteria for action, and primary values for each of the four ethical lenses. Further, the gifts and the blind spots for each perspective are presented, assisting people in identifying the lenses as well as avoiding unethical action.
