Abstract
Yields of radioactivities induced in stopping targets of Ca, Cu and Zn by the (p, n) reaction are determined from 1.4 to 27 MeV. These are used in a matrix formulation to determine incident proton spectra by measurements of the absolute activity of the several species produced. The steep rise in each yield above its threshold permits an accurate determination of a histogram representation of the incident spectrum. Test cases are shown to give good agreement with model input spectra. © 1981.
